Your post sent me scurrying to the Chicago Yellow Pages. There is
a listing for "Lactation Counseling" which says "See Breastfeeding
Information." Checked out that one. Was more than slightly
surprised to find only one LC listed there. We have *many* more!
I plan to bring this up at out MILC (Metropolitan Illinois
Lactation Consultants) meeting tomorrow morning.`As secretary, I
print up an annual list of LC's in private practice (as well as
hospital/clinic practice, bf classes, etc.). There are *at least*
5 private practice LC's within the city of Chicago, and *at least*
20 within the Metropolitan area who would probably benefit from
being listed. There's also the opposite potential: if no one is
listed, they may remove the designation. Getting it back again
could be less than a cakewalk.  Thanks!
