I am looking for information regarding solumedrol.

Mother has MS
Mother is exclusively breastfeeding 3 mo boy
All breastfeeding patterns have been normal
MS is flaring up significantly
Dr has prescribed gram solumedrol by IV once daily times 3 days
Solumedrol to be followed by "high" doses of prednisone (50-80mg daily)

Mother does not wish to use any formula and is trying to pump as much as
possible for baby while she is being treated with the solumedrol.  Dr
has told her the drug is contraindicated with breastfeeding.  I cannot
find a resource that refers to such a high dosage, although I am seeing
that in smaller doses (80mg/day) that solumedrol may be of little
concern.

I am most eager to hear from other sources, and may I please have
permission to pass along the information!!!???
