Hi all
update on my FTT baby is........... 110g weight gain in 2 days! Great, eh!
I feel so relieved things are getting better and the mum had such a big
grin on her face today, it was priceless! And baby had 2 bowel actions in 12
hours!
So continuing with supply line, expressing, breast compression and so on.
TFT's normal and Hb now up to 11.
and now that mum can see a difference and is more confident, she is actually
going to start fenugreek (she originally refused)and if that doesn't help
then domperidone.
However, what is still concerning me is a very subtle decrease in tone which
I had originally attributed to lethargy (remember mum said the suck felt
weak last Sat). Mum feels baby is now much stronger and more active so
hoping it will improve further. Started her using Dancer Hand today to
stabilize/support the jaw and see if that makes any difference. (probably
should have suggested this the other day actually). Her hand is there doing
compressions anyway.

She will be reviewed in the BFC on Mon, as well as the daily Hospital In The
Home visits for now. Unfortunately I will be off now for a week, so I wont
be there to continue the follow up. But I will ring her next week.
Isn't it a nice feeling to see things working out :-)

So thank you all for your comments/suggestions. We are very lucky to have
such a forum to share ideas, aren't we?

And Rachel, a holiday sounds nice 'up over' your way, now that winter is
coming 'down under'!
But not before ILCA in Sydney! Ha Ha

Cheers
