Dear Lactnetters,
        I had a mom call me asking whether Huang-qi (astragalus) and
Ginko-biloba were safe to take while breastfeeding.  Her baby is 6
months old. I appreciate any information on these herbs.  I have Dr.
Hale's book and others to look up drugs, but no references for the
safety of herbs in lactation.  Does anyone have any good suggestions for
a book that addresses the safety of specific herbs while breastfeeding?
