I was just wondering the same thing.  My 5 mos old hair stands up and I've
found her to be terribly fussy for the next 24 hours after each of the 3
times I've tried giving her solids.  She is extremely calm and easy
otherwise.  Neither of my older children had any negative reaction to any
solids, and both had normal/flat hair.  If you go to my web page you can
see my *very* fat (20 lbs at 4.5 mos) chicken haired baby.
