Thank you for posting this.  I have a six year old son with autism.  He 
is nursing and I cherish it so much because he is not affectionate 
(common autism trait to not like a lot of physical contact with others) 
so I can't hug him and snuggle with him but nursing allows me to sneak 
in some snuggles without him realizing that's what I'm doing.  I will be 
so sad when he stops nursing (may not be too long now, he is asking 
about once a week and has gone up to three weeks without nursing -- most 
recently when I had baby #3 in the summer and was constantly nursing her 
and my middle daughter) because I will have to figure out another way to 
have some loving physical contact with him.  It would be fantastic if we 
can add something concrete about autism and other similar disabilities 
to the list of benefits of breastfeeding.  Off to save that link to look 
at when I've got more time.
