I have looked in Hale and the normal dose is 5-10mg/QD.  Mom has taken it off
and on during the pregancy for her "terrible nerves".  Hale recommends Haldol
but mom just couldn't believe that as her Doctor told her Haldol has more
side effects for her.  Her internal medicine Dr. told her NOT to breastfeed, that
even after her last dose it will still be in her system up to 3 weeks.  Hale
says L3 but one baby did show effects from the medication.  Mom doesn't want
to "harm" her baby.  Of course I gave my formula speech and Mom was shocked to
learn that formula wasn't 100% safe!  But she continued to verbalize she
didn't want drugs in her milk.(she still doesn't get it)  If anyone can get other
words of wisdom from our wonderful Docs out there on Lactnet please post so I
can share with her.  She wants to hear a physician who knows breastfeeding. I
can't seem to convince her 100% but she is starting to nurse while eagerly
waiting a reply.

Thanks!
