I had the May 1996 edition of the Nutrition Action Healthletter on my desk
for several days before I realized that it had a picture of a baby drinking
from a bottle on the cover (it didn't stand out as it was one person within
a collage). I wrote them a letter asking them to please stop the free
advertising for ABM!

Haven't they published BF un-friendly information in the past?
Because they are usually such good consumer watchdogs, I would think
that breastfeeding advocacy would fall in line with the other information
they present. My thought is that they just are not aware of the risks of
ABM. Maybe they need an IBCLC on their scientific advisory board....or
maybe someone with more breastfeeding specific education/credentials
could write them a letter to enlighten them? Any volunteers?

Also, on the TV show Roseanne last night, Darlene mentioned "sore
nipples" as a matter-of-fact part of having a baby. It may not be the best
promotion of breastfeeding, but at least she didn't say "washing bottles"!!

help!)
