I used to explain that when cup feeding, some very young babies (and
premies) would often lap the milk like kittens. It appears from this
research that it may be more accurate to say that they lapped more like
puppies, except that puppies use the back of their tongues and I THINK that
human babies use the front.
Anyone up for some research?

Enjoy, this is truly beautiful science. For anyone worried that their tax
dollars might have been wasted on this research, the research cost $0 -- but
the entertainment value is priceless.  Who knew water tension and inertia
had so much power.  I love the surprises that can emerge from science.
