Dear Friends:

Pat describes a way to teach families about the anti-infective properties  of
human milk. Another way is to use the white blood analogy, and talk about
human milk making the baby's immune system strong. Whereas formula stresses an
immature immune system, both by exposure to non-species specific proteins and
by  a lack of living immune system protection and development.
