Jeanette suggested requesting Consumers Union compare breast milk and
formula and publish the results.

I would love to have them evaluate breast pumps.  I would like to see a
comparison of safety, effectiveness, ease of use, ease of cleaning,
durability, etc.  If they compared all the major brands (Medela,
Ameda-Egnel, Gerber, Evenflo, Avent, Nurture III, Gentle Expressions,
First Years, Magmag, etc.) it would be very helpful to new moms and to
us as professionals.

I am a little leary of suggestion they compare breast milk to formula.
Would they have the background to evaluate the relative importance of
the different nutrients, the proportion of them included in each
substance, the interaction of nutrients in vivo that make a difference
in the way they are utilized by the body, etc.
