i often talk with moms about this.....very very often.   b/c not
everyone likes it at the beginning.  and not everyone likes it later
on.  and by 9/12/15 mos and later, some ppl really can't stand it and
really WISH their child wasn't nursing but continue to nurse them b/c
they beleive the benefits are to important to bypass.

I really really really dislike nursing.....and by the time I start
ovulating.  it's all I can do to stop myself screaming when someone
wants to nurse.  but I suck it up, distract myself
(computer...reading....talking to ppl.....nursing in sling while
shopping).  I realized with the second baby that I just could not nurse
long term at night b/c the nightnursing was a much bigger problem for me
(not sleepwise but b/c nipple sensitivity).

it's really important to get the message out there that not everyone
loves nursing - some don't even like it, but the benefits are enormous
so we do it anyway and figure out ways to handle it (limiting
time/amount of nursing with older child.....finding child respectful
ways to nighttime parent without nursing older baby etc)
