The Breastfeeding Promotion Unit of the WIC program of the state of
California is encouraging as many Californians and those of other states as
possible to join in a "Noon Breastfeeding Awareness Walk" on August 7.  Some
organizations are planning nothing more than to take 15 minutes of their
lunch hour and walk around their building - others are planning parties in
parks, walks to county buildings, or collaborating with other groups such as
farmers' markets (healthy foods START with breastfeeding) etc.  

It would be great if there were activities in all 50 states!  There are
