In addition to agreeing with Rachel's response, I'd be asking the docs for evidence-based lit to support their recommendation for prophylactic vs. symptom-related use of antibiotics vis-a vis severity of problem for specific infant and risk for development of antibiotic sensitivities and/or resistance. Found some refs re: BF/human milk and UTI or human milk general immunology with probably/potential effect on urinary tract...
