Thoughts I have on Isis vs. rental pumps....

The moms I have worked with find the isis an good part time use pump.
There have also been some list members who found the isis worked better for
them then the rental grade pumps did. I think is in not the norm though
based on what I have seen with my own clients.

I get frequent phone calls from full time working moms who try to use the
isis and find that after the first week or so their supply drops. As soon
as they use a rental grade pump, the supply is better. I have also worked
with moms who wanted to use the isis to bring milk in for a nonnursing baby
and the results have been less than impressive.

I have not read the study yet, but I have a hard time believing,(based on
what I have seen with the moms I have worked with), that there is no
benefit to an double electric pump used in a proper manner (pumping 8 times
a day) VS the isis. Perhaps with the limited pumping schedule the
mothers were using, the benefit was lost?
