Hello, all. Have been extremely busy with family matters for a very long
time now and nomail, but never stopped missing you-all and Lactnet. Hope
by December I will get a life again. Meanwhile, this appeared on my work
email. If there is anyone out there interested in taking advantage of
this foundation grant (using the para on "family relationships", pairing
it with breastfeeding, more power to us all!!

on the way to nursing school in another city.....)

Subject: GUGGENHEIM FOUNDATION (fwd)

The Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation makes grants to individuals for
individual projects which will provide a better understanding of the causes
and consequences of dominance, aggression, and violence. Particular
questions that interest the Foundation concern violence, aggression, and
dominance in relation to social change, the socialization of children,
intergroup conflict, drug trafficking and use, family relationships, and
investigations of the control of aggression and violence.

The Foundation expects to make most awards in the range of $15,000 to
$30,000 a year for periods of 1 or 2 years.

Requests will be considered for salaries, employee benefits, research
assistantships, computer time, supplies and equipment, field work,
essential secretarial and technical help, and other items necessary to the
successful completion of a project.

The Foundation does not supply funds for overhead costs of institutions,
travel to professional meetings, self-education, elaborate fixed equipment,
or support while completing the requirements or advanced degrees (apart
from that indirectly involved in research assistantships).
