Yes I have seen and experienced similar. I agree with the other person who
said this sounds like plugged ducts with dried milk in there. This often
coincides with nipple blebs which look like little whiteheads blocking
nipple pores. All of this is very painful and often leads to mastitis as
those parts of the breast are clogged and not draining. Look into what you
can about the following:
1. basic positions and latches on that breast, ensuring good attachment and
drainage
2. anything about the baby affecting the latching and drainage of the breast
(tongue tie?), altho one would expect to have problems on both sides
3. identifying and treating nipple blebs (sometimes soaking in very warm
water while leaning over into the sink or large bowl; 'combing' the breast
with a clean hair comb and soapy water)
4. identifying and treating plugged ducts -- can be helped sometimes by
lecithin, increase salt intake, increase hydration, identify if mom is
sleeping with pressure on that part of breast or underwire bras??
5. any oversupply symptoms?
