Yes! I prefer to call them 'appetite spurts' as I think it is more
accurate, and reduces the risk of the mother being disappointed (as
she sometimes is) when the baby hasn't gained a pound that week : )

I certainly think it is unhelpful to think of them occurring at
specific times - it's trying to fit babies into a pre-ordained
pattern, and look where *that* thinking has got us over the years : (

The baby feeds 'cos he wants to....and sometimes he wants to more
often than at other times! Well, big deal!
