Karen,I suggest replacing "formula" with "abm" in lower case letters, but
ALWAYS in lower case letters. It is not a capital alternative to human
milk. Also the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine would always be
capitalised  when the initials are used, I presume. So it should not be
confusing. If a change is made, though, the full spelling will be requird
for a while until it the new appelation is fully accepted.
BTW, I attended a meeting of the New York City AAP Breastfeeding
Co-ordinators and I suspect they might be interested in supporting such a
move. If you'd like a contact for them Email me privately.
