Sugject: Responding to Losing Milk at four months
We have been working with a lot of moms with low milk supply, some at 4
months, some at 8 months also. We questioned if the herbals would work
at that point and have found many do see results. First of all, be sure
they are taking enough. Too many moms take only a few and it doesn't
work. Also they need to take with only 1-2 oz of liquid and not drink
20" b4 and after taking pills. If More Milk plus is not doing the job, I
have had great success adding Goat's Rue even though that is supposed to
create more tissue to help those with tubular breasts and breast
reductions, I have seen a wonderful change for these other moms as well.
Omega 3's also make a big difference taken in the doses that help
postpartum depression. One mom who had this problem with 2 other babies
at 4 months, started out with her 3rd baby pumping after nursing from
the beginning to create an oversupply to hopefully compensate so it
would not happen again (all her own plan). However, at 4 months her milk
drastically decreased. She had tried Reglan with other 2 and had bad
reactions and did not want to try that again. She persisted with finding
Domperidone and low and behold it worked for her.
