Had to share a "positive" that's happened. I had posted a couple of months
ago about a short gut baby who we finally got approval to trial on Donor
breastmilk since she was intolerant of any artifical feeds.
Its now been almost two months and this baby is thriving beautifully!!!!
No longer do we have to stop feeds or return to square one because of gut
distention or significant dumping. Babe still dumps some but no where near
the volumns that we had ben seeing. No more NPO, no more Surgical
evaluations/procedures, just a growing ( finally) baby who is getting
closer to normal feeding .
When you concider that prior to this for months and months this kiddo 's
life was a pure h-ll because of feeding problems, whenever I have a bad
day, I now go and visit her and watch her grow and smile and cuddle......
whew- a rainbow note during this time of feeding controversy.......
