Hi All,
I have a client who went into the hospital today due to a MRSA hand
infection which has gone into her blood stream. Mom's baby is 8 months
old and has had at least 2 MRSA infections since birth so is a
carrier. Would there be any reason for her to pump and dump for 24
hours while the antibiotics kick in. The infection is not local
anymore and has become more virulent. It looks like Ruth Lawrence
might be suggesting pumping and dumping but it is not clear. Any help
would be greatly appreciated very quickly.
Thank you,
Star Siegfried RN,BA,IBCLC
