The mother of a set of close to 7 month old twins is concerned about the
weight gain of one of the babies. This boy weighed 2.900 at birth, and now
weighs 6.100. He has gained only 100 grams in the last six weeks. He is
developmentally precocious, sitting, monkey-walking (on all fours) and
cruising along the furniture. Mom is not interested in starting solids until
the babies are really showing a strong interest on their own. The sister
weighed 2.500 at birth and is now 6.750. Babies are switched sides every 24
hours. The boy had his iron checked today. Any thoughts?
