Can anyone share with us how they do cleaning of the starter SNS during
an inpatient stay? I know this sounds rediculous but...we have been
cleaning with the hand soap (warm soapy water) and now are getting
conflicting messages as to whether this is OK. Do you stock dish soap in
every room? Do you reuse the SNS at all?

Really, the question goes beyond just the SNS to pump equipment...

Not talking about sick babies here...Our NICU has it's own protocols.
But, when the stuff is in the patients room and they do the cleaning (or
we help them).

Thanks,
