Kathy: Here's the quick and dirty outline section on drying up and
decreasing supply from from my herb and homeopathics talk:

V. Lactation Suppressants & Oversupply managers:
    A. Herbs: Mint, Spearmint, Parsley, Chickweed, Sage, Black Walnut,
stinging nettles, Yarrow, cabbage (topically),
   B. Homeopathy: Pulsatilla=The breasts are tense, swollen and painful.
Emotional, particuarly profuse weeping is a feature and there
is intolerance of heat in any form.
+Nat. Sulph=Useful particularly during the first early morning
feeding; condition tends to come and go. There is always great sensitivity
to cold and damp; +Borax (yes, borax--but remember it is
HOMEOPATHIC, that is in minute
titrations) Use when breasts overflow between feedings. +Calc.
Carb=As for Borax but in the Calcarea type of constitution
+Phytolacca=The breasts are very sensitive and there is an excess
flow of milk during feeding.
   C. Behavioral: nurse off one side for 2 or even 3 feedings, then switch
and do the same on that side. After several days, supply is usually
decreased markedly. Nurse ³uphill² or on back; Consider using
BLIS (1-800-410-BLIS)
   D. If swelling present, use Bromelian or Ibuprophen, plus ³ice flowers²
