I have looked through my 2000 copy of Hale and through the Lactnet archives
and still could not find the drug I am looking for. Maybe some of you who
are on the ball and already have the newest version of Medications and
Mother's Milk can send me this information.

Brinzolamide (or Azopt) is a newer eyedrop for glaucoma. The information I
did find on it says it is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor which reduces the
production of the fluid found in the eye ball. When looking at the side
effects in the user, I found that they were minimal and not as serious as
some of the side effects of other glaucoma drugs which is a good sign.

Any breastfeeding information?

Thanks,
Suzanne Tyler, LLL Leader in NC
