Dear Marcy:  A few months ago I wrote about a mother who was taking this
med.(see archives under interesting and unusual case)  With this dyad,
neither the baby's paed. or the mother's internist were concerned with
the PTU, despite the high doses the mother was taking.  The concern in
this case was the baby's lack of weight gain, even though transferring
large amounts at breast.  The baby was eventually diagnosed with
transient maternal-derived Grave's disease, and started on PTU herself.
