Hi Barbara,
While I do agree with your comments, I can't help but think that babies
should be seen sooner than 13+ days postpartum. With our maternal and child
health nursing system, the nurse (triple-certificate) would visit in the
first week home and do a weigh. (At no cost to the family).
I don't mean to say that our system is perfect, but I think the health
system in the US makes it hard for new families and breastfeeding
supporters.
