WOW, Jacqui,

How you've revealed your "story" will touch many I am sure. I had helped a
mom who absolutely could not stand the baby's tongue touching her nipple at
all. We worked and worked and worked on getting such a deep latch (as deep
as humanly possible) so she would not have to experience any "feeling" on the
nipple. She has had 3 kids, the first she nursed 2 weeks the second nursed
for about 1 week, and lastly the third, who I helped her with nursed 6
months. She never thought she would make it that far. She never really
revealed her past to me, however I suspect that there was abuse somewhere
in her life. She is an awesome mother and of course dearly loves those kids.
But, that part about breastfeeding, she could not get past. I honor you and
your resolve. I thank you for sharing such a deep personal story. You will
help many. May God bless you and your family,

robin
