Kirsten wrote about the LaMa Bra.
>This bra is designed to hold ice packs and easily adjust tightness.
It seems designed for weaning, or for mothers who are not going to
breastfeed at all - but it's marketing itself as
a bra for mothers suffering from engorgement.
I sent them a polite email stating that it's not really suitable for
nursing mothers since the bra has no way of opening from the front for
nursing, but were they going to add this feature, or was it truly
designed for mothers who are weaning?
See for yourself at www.lamabra.com, <

I just went to their website. There was a message under the ad, in
bold type. Maybe it was put there after they got Kirsten's email?

>When a woman is ready to stop breastfeeding, the LaMa Bra offers the
light pressure and coolness to breasts to help stop the breastfeeding
cycle and reduce breast milk production. The process to stop
breastfeeding can be a discreet and comfortable one. Designed with
beauty and comfort in mind, any mother can choose when to stop
breastfeeding on their own.<

I still have a problem with the ad!
The actual ad states:
>The LaMa Bra helps reduce the engorgement pain mothers encounter
while breastfeeding or during stages of weaning. Specifically designed
for comfort, convenience and personal discretion, the LaMa Bra can be
worn anytime, anywhere. <

Well, NO! A nursing mother wouldl find it hard to feed her baby while
wearing the bra (no openings and not stretchy enough to pull down,)
and if she IS weaning, the implication is that she stops nursing
cold-turkey because the bra will take care of the engorgement.
I don't think so! This is just asking for trouble.
