In my experience, nipple pain during breastfeeding is rare. I agree that
sometimes the latch is a bit 'imperfect' on some early bf attempts and this
can cause some tenderness. I agree low milk volume factors in here too. Most
moms who have a 'proper' latch do not complain of any pain at all. Most
complain of uterine cramping though, and some will cut short the
breastfeeding or give it up due to that. Hey, any ideas on helping with
that? Sorry so many posts from me, I am playing catch up.
