The mothers who use the Avent Isis manual pumps from our
WIC clinic are very satisfied with them. I have had
three moms return the pumps after three months of usage
due to the same broken parts however. The breakage
appears to be due to improper disassembly for cleaning.
A co.rep informed me the user can return the pump for a
free replacement.
I recently became aware that Avent products are in
marketing violations of the WHO/Unicef International
Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes as written
in the manual "Breaking the Rules, Stretching the Rules
2001" by IBFAN.
