Hi folks,

The AAP has not yet released their statement revising their breastfeeding
recommendations. All they will say publically is that the are committed to
increasing both the rates and duration of breastfeeding. They have said the
statement will be out this fall, but won't release and any information about the
policy to the public until the policy statement is
published in Pediatrics - the official journal of AAP. The Academy holds to
this position because they want their membership to be informed of any
changes before it gets to the media.
