Well, I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but today the overproducing
mom finally, after only three doses of bromocriptine, had SOFT breasts, and
when baby was acting hungry, mom put her to the breast - SHE BREASTFED
(yes, I'm shouting) for the first time since she was 4 days old. She's now
21 days old and has gained 9 ounces in the last week (which answered my
question of whether she was getting adequate nourishment with the very
watery-appearing milk mom was pumping). She fed on one side for 15
minutes, let go, went to the second side for 15 more minutes, then slept
for 3 hours. So did mom!

She and I aren't sure if she should continue the meds for 2 more days as
prescribed by the doctor, whether the production will return to its
previous horrible high once she stops, but at least she feels human again
and not like a set of basketballs attached to her chest.
