Yellow bf baby poo also turns green as it oxidises (a process which begins
immediately upon expulsion due to contact with air) - because bf babies' poo
doesn't smell bad, it sometimes stays in the nappy for a while before
someone notices its there.  We seem to have a bit of a fixation with the
colour and consistency of poo. I concur with Jack Newman on this - teach
mothers to change nappies while wearing sunglasses so they can't see what
colour it is! 
If a baby is thriving and behaving 'normally' colour is largely irrelevent.
