I worked with a first time mom with nipples too large for the baby. She
fingerfed the first baby for 6 weeks until her mouth grew.
The second baby showed signs of weight gain problems very early. This was
when I first got the "Baby Weigh" scale. The baby was getting one tenth of
an ounce! For the second baby, she used a bottle until the baby was 5 weeks
and got her on the breast. Both nursed for several years.
So, it is not limited to grand- multiparous women.
