I know of two people whose toddlers had rotting teeth. Both were La Leche League Leaders, and had excellent diets. Both had SEVERAL children, only one of which had rotten front teeth. Both of them had suffered some kind of trauma in their second trimester while carrying the baby who developed severe dental caries. [one was in a car accident; the other was quite ill and had a fever.]
Both toddlers permanent teeth came in perfectly healthy.

I know this is only anecdotal, but perhaps this has happened to others?
