I continue to attempt to assist the breastfed vegan baby case.

It has been my own observation through belonging to a few playgroups with
my own son, as well as through consulting with lactating mothers in
nutrition, that it is very common for a child (at least a breastfed child)
to go through a period of several weeks where they do not gain weight, or
gain only ounces, (later catching-up again). I observe this to happen most
commonly after solid foods are being introduced to more than a trivial
degree. I especially recall this to be very common as this is the
opportunity taken for many docs to recommend formula supplementation -- a
common time when I hear from a mom.

What are the impressions, observations, or especially any citable
documentations that any of you have to offer? We could even use some faxed
weight charts that have been kept on a child.

THANKS MUCH, linda palmer
