Hi All,

I've posted this problem before but we are still no closer to any answers.
Mom is now 12 days pp and is only able to produce about 2 ounces a day. She
is feeding abm with an sns. It works well and she is willing to continue for
a little longer but would like some answers. She has never experienced any
fullness at all. She did have breast changes during her pregnancy, no hx of
infertilityand has a supportive family. WE asked her OB to do prolactin and
thyroid levels on day 6 and the prolactin was very low(25ng/ml) thyroid was
normal. She was started on a course of Reglanon day 8. Her delivery history
is benign except for very little lochia and is now still spotting
reddish/brown.(I think by day 12 one should be having lochia alba) We tryed
to get her ob to get a progesterone level but he dosn't think that is the
problem. He doesn't have any other ideas either. Breastfeeding is very
important to this patient. Anyone out there have any ideas. One of my
colleagues was supposed to go to a conference in Springfield, Ma.today where
she was going to ask Ruth Lawerence but she couldn't make it because of snow!
TIA, Jane
