When I know I am seeing a tongue-tie, especially a posterior tongue-tie 
that the ped will dismiss, I try to anticipate how things will go and 
prepare the mom. For example, I let her know that most peds are not 
trained to recognize a posterior tongue tie . I give her the article to 
read that Cathy Genna mentioned and I also send the baby to someone 
else who is likely to recognize the tongue-tie as well. I am fortunate 
that we have such a great group of chiropractors here who work with 
these babies. When the chiropractor sees the same thing I do, the mom 
is often more willing to ge beyond the ped to fix the problem. I am 
also lucky that we are within a couple of hours of Dr. Coryllos and I 
can send moms to her.
