Thank you Chris Mulford for the great information on parent's perception
of baby's "fullness". One of the things that I am careful to teach at
home visits is "baby talk". I point out the baby's messages for the
parents, and empower them to read their baby. (I often get feedback that
this was the most valuable part of the consult.) Perhaps showing the
"relaxed hands, arms away from face, head tipped a bit back" baby
posture that means "I'm happily full" to this mom will make a difference
to her.
