Further to recent discussion on Depo Provera, my colleague
in WHO's Special Programme of Research, Development and
Research Training in Human Reproduction, Dr Heli Bathija,
reports that <according to the research carried out by WHO
in several countries, Depo Provera does not decrease the
milk volume nor does it have any undesirable effect on
baby's growth, health or development. In WHO studies the DP
was usually administered at six weeks postpartum and then in
three-month intervals>. For additional information, Heli is
available on fax (41-22) 791-4171. She is not yet
e-mailable.
