I have never worked with a more supportive group of physicians than those at the below facility.  For those interested in the below lactation coordinator position please contact Brenda Strohl at:

  Lactation Services Coordinator—approx. 20-30 hours per week
  This position may be applied for by a current staff person who meets the requirements, and will also be posted externally.  Will consider adjusting a staff person’s current position to include this job code, and reduce hours as a staff nurse.
  Requirements:  RN, required, IBCLC preferred, minimum of 3 years experience as a lactation nurse with at least a CLC or CLE designation.  Able to lead classes, provide staff education, coordinate the Witham Lactation Services including growth and development of these services to our staff, inpatients, outpatients, and community.  Able to be effective through delegation of duties to other members of the lactation team who are able to carry out tasks.  Includes but not limited to management of the Breast pump rentals, Postpartum follow up, Outpatient consults, Community education, Staff inservices and education, directing plans for World Breastfeeding week, overseeing the Donor Milk program according to state guidelines, breastfeeding support group oversight, breastfeeding class, overseeing the ordering of lactation supplies, managing high risk lactation patients, Hours available weekly for scheduling outpatient appointments, development of patient education packets for all
 breastfeeding patients.
