The amount of Fluoxetine(Prozac) found in human milk when mothers take
standard doses calculates to be very small--see JHL,(1992 Mar)
vol.8(1):7"The effect of maternal medications on breastfeeding infants"
As with most medications, be cautious with your advice because it is
unknown what the effects of even small amounts would be on a developing
infant--Breastfeeding probably does more for depression than any of the
antidepressant medications.
