Does anyone have any information on the transfer of belladonna and opium
(given as rectal suppository to mom for bladder spasms) in breastmilk; We
have a baby in special care nursery for respiratory distress and mom is
expressing milk for baby. Physician is concerned about the transfer of
these meds into the milk. I felt like the opium would be okay as it is
what morphine is derived from but just guessing......any help appreciated.
