And no, I am not referring to an Aretha Franklin song. Please note that
we should not send public notes with political messages to Lactnet. This
is not the place, or time for such discussions. Our business is
breastfeeding, lactation, and related support issues. No email wars,
slurs, slams, or related notes or insults will be tolerated on this
list. We've gone 8 years, now, with a pretty good track record (Yes,
Lactnet is 8 this month), and we'll keep it that way. Thanks.
Additionally, I realize that tempers run hot when anyone suggests that
breastfeeding or breastmilk may not be 100% safe, but we need to
remember to keep our weapons DOWN when talking to anyone on this list.
We are all here to support breastfeeding, and safe practice of lactation
issues. We should not be afraid of a good discussion or debate, or take
things PERSONALLY...or offer our opinions in a way that is offensive of
anyone else. Let's be professional, cool, and put our resources where
our trigger fingers are. Respect and manners at all times are
appreciated. Question? Yes. Confer? Yes. Challenge with references? Yes.
Discuss passionately? Yes. Infer lack of credibility? NO.

Respectfully.
