Jan Barger asks:

I am a few days behind, but I will give you my 2 cents' worth. ;-)

In general, I say no. (But never say never, of course!) If the shield
is 'working' and the baby is transferring milk well through it, then
there is no need, as the supply will not suffer. If the baby is not
transferring milk well through it, then I would consider it 'not
working' and recommend against its use.

I nearly only ever recommend a shield for a baby not 'knowing' how to
attach, needing that instant stimulation on the palate and not
getting that from mum's flat or inverted nipple. Or maybe for
encouraging a tongue down.
