There should be a way for you to charge, fee for service.  In California I am
working one morning per week in a clinic that serves a largely medi-cal
population.  My fees are charged as lactation services.  I know it is not
common practice to have an LC in these settings but it is happening.

Yes, you should keep pushing to get these fees covered.  A major point should
be that these babies will be healthier because they are breastfeeding saving
the insurance company and the state substantial amounts of money in the long
run.  We have stacks of documentation to prove this.  Use it.
