I have read a lot of their materials. Regarding breastfeeding, someone once
wrote in and asked them what they thought about "the family bed." Mrs.
Pearls response was that her babies slept with her at night and breastfed
when they wanted to. Her babies (five of them) were not scheduled and they
weaned when they were ready- I think she said around two years. They
thought it was crazy that sleeping in the parents bed was a controversial
issue because for them it was a means of keeping warm when the wood stove
went out.
