What about bringing copies of the sleep books by some of our favorite
MDs -- Jay Gordon, Paul Fleiss, William Sears? The people pushing
for an anti-co-sleeping law wouldn't accept them as valid scientific
evidence on a par with journal articles, but nevertheless they are
evidence that mainstream, popular doctors not only tolerate
bedsharing but enthusiastically promote it. An unsuspecting mother
in Missouri might read one of these widely-available books, follow
the suggestions, and . . . find herself on the wrong side of the
law???? If they pass this law, are they going to then ban these
books?

It seems to me that any anti-co-sleeping law wouldn't stand a chance
of holding up in court if challenged. There is WAY too much
information out there in support of co-sleeping. A reasonable person
evaluating all the information would have to conclude that it is at
best a safe and desirable option, and at least not deserving of
criminalization.
